Adios, GOP racism?

Working with the Penguin? Not so good. (Photo: weblogs.sun-sentinel.com)
Times have been tough for the Republican Party lately. Sex scandals among senators and governors, radio personalities spewing racist hate, Sarah Palin teetering off for reasons known only to her… not to mention resignations. Now Florida Senator Mel Martinez, 62, has joined that party. He will not return to the Senate after this recess, according to FOX News. But will he need no fax payday loans or cash advances back in the private sector?
He stayed around for Sotomayor
Mel Martinez was one of just nine Republicans who voted in favor of confirming Sonia Sotomayor as Supreme Court Justice. It appears that he stayed in office just long enough to cast a stinging vote against his party by saying yes to the highly experienced Sotomayor. One wonders if the racist rhetoric the Republican Party had been bandying about in reference to Sotomayor backfired. Perhaps they alienated their only Hispanic member in the Senate (Mel Martinez) and will have to find a new way to make hay in Florida, where there is a large Hispanic presence.
Here’s a little window into the stinkin’ thinkin’ that’s been flying out of GOP pie holes lately. It’s not a Rush clip; that would have been too easy: ... click here to read the rest of the article titled "Last Hispanic GOP Senator Mel Martinez Resigns"
Economic Indicators Are Rising . . . and Confusing
Production is on the rise
If you need easy loans just to make it from paycheck to paycheck, and even then you could still use some extra cash, take heart. Recently there have been hopeful signs that the current recession is coming to an end.
At the end of July, the government reported that the real gross domestic product (GDP) fell at an annual rate of only 1% in the second quarter. Manufacturing activity rose to its highest level in the last year. Car sales jumped 15% and manufacturers are ramping up production. Based on the data now available for July, experts are predicting that the GDP will increase by as much as 3% in the second quarter.
Home sales are on the rise
Another encouraging trend is that existing home sales are on the rise. Between April and May, the S&P/Case-Shiller 20-city index of house prices fell just 0.2%, the smallest decline in the past two years. Stabilizing house prices are expected to reduce mortgage-loan defaults, shore up bank balance-sheets and improve the flow of credit.
Oddly, unemployment is also on the rise
Employment, however, is the single most important economic benchmark, and the outlook on that front remains grim. Unemployment rates are still on the rise, which is surprising given that economists generally predict that an increase in the GDP will be accompanied by a decrease in the unemployment rate. ... click here to read the rest of the article titled "New Economic Signs: Rays of Hope?"
Post office is in big financial trouble

With fewer post offices, mail carriers will have farther to go.
If you are looking for a list of all the post offices to close, that doesn’t exist yet. If you are looking for a list of post offices that might close, I’ve got you covered. If you’re looking for a partial list of post offices to close, I’ve got that too.
If you’re looking for a list of post offices to close, you know that dire financial straits at the United States Postal Service are causing the government to have to shut down several post offices. I guess they don’t have anymore emergency money to keep them all afloat.
How many post offices to close?
I have seen a few different numbers regarding how many locations are on the list of post offices to close, but ABC News reports:
Of the 32,741 post offices in America, the Postal Service is reviewing about 3,200, or nearly 10 percent. The Postal Regulatory Commission, an independent agency, posted 700 of them on a 12-page list at its Web site, www.prc.gov.
The supposed “list of post offices to close,” which you can view by clicking that link, still is titled “United States Postal Service Station/Branches Identified for Full Study,” so no official has yet stated that all the locations on that list of post offices to close will definitely be shut down. ... click here to read the rest of the article titled "List of Post Offices to Close Growing Steadily"
Have an illegal gun, kill some dogs

Thigh intact, Plaxico does a capoeira routine as Washington defenders look on in admiration (Photo: smarter.com)
Both of these things are problematic. Both of these things are illegal. But the latest NFL indictment - this time for former New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress - has got me thinking about the Michael Vick reinstatement into the NFL, as well as my personal outrage over how the mainstream sports media is addressing the situation.
But first, let’s talk about Plexiglass
According to The Sporting News, the ex-New York Giant Burress was indicted by a New York grand jury on weapons charges. Specifically, the counts were two for criminal possession of a weapon and one more for reckless endangerment. And it all went down when Mr. Burress accidentally shot himself in the thigh while living it up at a Manhattan night club. The kind of place normal people would need payday loans with no faxing or cash advances to get into. They could even apply below.
His teammates do not face charges
That would include former Burress teammate Antonio Pierce. According to the district attorney, further charges are unlikely. Yes, it seems likely that Plaxico’s running buddies knew that he was carrying a gun, and perhaps they even knew that he was doing so illegally. But apparently this kind of information is not to levy charges against them. I imagine that NFL friends of Michael Vick also knew what he was doing to his dogs, but they did nothing. Does that make them culpable? I believe it should. ... click here to read the rest of the article titled "Plaxico Burress Indicted, Vick Reinstated | Justice?"
I say, “Go for it.”

(Photo: Monroe College)
Trina Thompson spent $70,000 in tuition for a degree in Information Technology from Monroe College in the Bronx, New York. Now that she can’t secure a job with her advanced degree, she has taken it upon herself to sue the university and get her tuition money back.
Some would call this ridiculous, and the majority of them would most likely be those who had a successful college experience and are in some way still in connection with their own university due to alumni activities or the like. Gary Axelbank, spokesman for Monroe College and the man who says that Thompson’s lawsuit is “completely without merit,” is likely one of those people. He also probably wouldn’t know payday loans or short term loans if they bit him on the backside.
True success comes from struggle and toil
That is how America was built. The Rockefellers, Carnegies and J.P. Morgans of the world didn’t rise to prominence because of a fleeting phenomenon like a dot com boom that dumped money in their laps for no good business reason. They had to work hard to rise to prominence. On a slightly lesser scale, college graduates have to do the same thing in order to be successful. Just going to college is not a guarantee of success, as you have to make some connections and learn how to market yourself. ... click here to read the rest of the article titled "Trina Thompson Sues Her College Because They Failed Her"
Read about work-from-home jobs here!

Turn your laptop into an office!
Home With the Kids is a web site dedicated to weeding out the real work-from-home opportunities from the scams. You can try to check out homewiththekids, but it isn’t working for me.
However, thanks to Fox Business, I have info on the top 10 work-from-home jobs, some of which are posted on Home With the Kids. I also have links to other web sites that screen work-from-home job postings and present the legitimate ones. Kind of the way that Personal Money Store picks out the best short term loans lenders and stays away from the shady ones. Now, let’s get to those jobs!
1. Virtual assistant
Oooh, that does sound classy. Fox Business says “Small businesses hire virtual assistants to help when they can’t justify a permanent employee.” The money here really lies in running your own virtual assistant business and working for multiple companies. Check out The International Virtual Assistants Association.
Also, Home With the Kids, at homewiththekids.com, features a dozen or so similar companies. However, last time I checked, homewiththekids was still not working.

Stormy Daniels for Senate - are you in?

The fur's beginning to fly for Ms. Stormy (Photo: scrapetv.com)
Remember the story I ran a few months ago about adult film star Stormy Daniels (real name Stephanie Clifford) and her race to become a Senator from her home state of Louisiana? Ms. Daniels is sticking to the plan, despite some bizarre difficulties of late that make it seem like somebody has it in for her. Could it be her opponent, David Vitter? One wonders, but of course nothing has been proven as yet. If she needs a bit more money to stay strong in the race, cash advances and no fax payday loans are available here!
But she needs to dial it down a notch
The Associated Press reports that this has been a “tough week” for Stormy Daniels. Domestic violence and a car bomb have rocked her campaign. While she’s still “mulling” whether or not she’ll run, here’s one non-Louisianan who hopes that an adult film star will run against yet another hypocritical “family values” Republican. That’s what David Vitter is, despite the fact that he was involved in a Washington DC call girl sting. At least Daniels is forthright and honest in her dealings. America has had enough of liars and hypocrites in office. If I were to discover that Vitter was also a member of C Street House, my image of him would be complete. ... click here to read the rest of the article titled "UPDATE: Stormy Daniels' Sen!

She is frightening - is she a golem?

(Photo: James Devaney/Wine Image)
Is she trying to turn herself into a living golem through Kabbalistic ritual? Or are these photos altered via Photoshop? Whatever the case, the photos of Madonna’s biceps that are currently circulating are frightening. If she needs shakes to build her arms a bit, payday loans and short term loans are available here.
But here’s the program she’s been following, courtesy of personal trainer Tracy Anderson. Ashley Pearson reports for the London Daily Mail that it is a grueling routine that only those dedicated to exercise should even attempt. Or perhaps a golem.
Please don’t slay me in my sleep, clay monster!
Pearson assumed it would be something like lots of yoga, cardio and muscle work. However, it’s “one hour of cardiovascular exercise and an hour of Pilates-style muscle toning.” The cardio is in the form of dance aerobics, which makes sense for an entertainer like Madonna. It wasn’t so arm-intensive, however. As is common with Pilates, only small arm weights are used.
So where do the freakish arms come from?
Well, apparently Madonna spends 30 minutes working on arms each day. It relies primarily upon isometric exercises, and Pearson describes it as “strenuous, and very painful - even after five minutes. And it does build muscle.” ... click here to read the rest of the article titled "Madonna's Biceps | Photoshopped, or Exercise Til U Die?"

Ray J is gone, but the sex tape remains. Reggie Bush came across as slightly more savory, if you ignore the obvious monetary improprieties that went on when he was a star back at USC. But now, the horrible news has come down: the Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush break up is a reality. The curvy Armenian and the cut football star have called it quits, not long after it was rumored that they were going to get married.
Hollie McKay reports for Fox News that there’s another side to this beyond the tears and the Twitters: “Will Kim Kardashian Still Auction Off Reggie Bush’s Clothes?” That’s what McKay and the rest of the civilized world want to know.
Selling clothes? Does he need pay day loans?
Or perhaps secured loans? Perhaps not. But I’ll get to the clothing sale in a moment.
This amicable split did not come as a surprise to those close to both parties. A Fox News insider claims “It’s been rocky for a little while now. They both have contracts on separate sides of the country and it was too much. They used to see each other every couple of weeks, but Kim’s brand is much bigger than it was last season.” ... click here to read the rest of the article titled "Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush Break Up | Awww..."
If you can afford it in the first place

Does this qualify as "drivable?" (Photo: blog.glodb.com)
Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for the idea of the Cash For Clunkers Program 2009. However, I simply don’t see it being sufficient to help many of the consumers that have been holding on to older, less fuel efficient vehicles. There’s typically a reason they hold on to their old cars, people: they can’t afford new ones. If you think $3,500 (only some receive the federal maximum of $4,500) is enough to make expensive new fuel efficient cars affordable, you haven’t been car shopping lately. A payday loan or cash advance may help with a down payment, but what can you do about the monthly payments?
Nevertheless, Americans still appear eager to buy cars they can’t afford. Good work, Cash For Clunkers program 2009!
A clunker of a program
Brent Snavely reports for the Detroit Free Press that Cash for Clunkers has increased the overall excitement about car buying, if the crowds in showrooms are any indication. Sure, there are questions about how long this ride will last and whether the program is too complicated for its own good. Plus, it’s uncertain so far just how many new car sales have come from the Cash for Clunkers program 2009.
One of the things we know from the 136-page outline of the plan is that the program will last until November 1 or until the $1 billion Congress allotted the Cash for Clunkers program 2009 disappears. There are also very specific regulations for dealers in terms of how they must disable the engines of old vehicles, but the dealers are still hopeful that the program’s overall impact will be to boost sagging sales. ... click here to read the rest of the article titled "Cash For Clunkers Program 2009 | Over Before You Know It?"
On a conditional basis, Vick reinstated by football

Justice. (Photo: Infidelsparadise.com)
Anyone who commits a crime should be held responsible for their actions. This includes celebrities and superstar athletes who frequently find themselves in a position where they are held above the law. No special plea bargains, no special privileges, no skating where normal people would be put away for hard time. The time in which high-powered attorneys and PR teams can confuse juries by obfuscating the truth and wage war on those who sue their clients - beating them back via pure attrition - must end. The dog fighting crimes for which Michael Vick was arrested and served time were heinous, resulting in the careless death of many animals.
Now we see news of Michael Vick reinstated by the NFL. This is a colossal mistake and I hope that fans boycott whatever team signs him (there will be one, as he is an athletic talent, if not a great quarterback). That would include all of said team’s sponsors. Hit them where it hurts, where a team will notice. Put them in a place where they need cheap loans for quick cash. However, if you attend their games, watch them on television or purchase the merchandise of Vick’s new team, you are labeling yourself a barbarian. You are saying that it’s ok to maim and kill animals for your amusement. You, sir or ma’am, would label yourself a disgusting excuse for a human being.
Commissioner Goodell has lost his mind
Mark Maske reports for the Washington Post that on behalf of the National Football League, Commissioner Roger Goodell has agreed to a condition-laden reinstatement of Michael Vick. Currently, Vick is allowed to attempt to sign with a team and participate in their training camp activities. ... click here to read the rest of the article titled "Michael Vick Has Been Reinstated Into the NFL"
Mary Jo Buttafuoco promotes her book

Mary Jo Buttafuoco, image from The Hollywood Gossip online.
In an interview on “Good Morning America” today, Mary Jo Buttafuoco talked about her book, her ex-husband Joey Buttafuoco’s sociopathic tendencies and, of course, Amy Fisher. I predict it’s the first in a long string of interviews to promote her book.
Mary Jo Buttafuoco’s book, “Getting It Through My Thick Skull,” came out last week. Her purpose in writing the book, she says, is to share the sociopath definition and help others who may be involved with someone who has sociopathic tendencies.
Taking it in the skull
There’s no need to take out an installment loan to buy Mary Jo Buttafuoco’s book; it’s on sale at Amazon.com for $16.47. ABC News reports:
It’s Joey whom Buttafuoco takes aim at in her new book, “Getting It Through My Thick Skull.” The title, she said, came from the way her mother always referred to her “thick skull” when citing her stubborn nature, and a joke she made in the hospital about how her thick skull finally served a good purpose.
The full title of the book is “Getting It Through My Thick Skull: Why I Stayed, What I Learned, and What Millions of People Involved with Sociopaths Need to Know.” The sociopath she refers to, of course, is her ex-husband. Joey Buttafuoco says “he would prefer to be diagnosed as a sociopath by a doctor, rather than his ex-wife and felt ‘victimized’ by the accusation.” ... click here to read the rest of the article titled "Mary Jo Buttafuoco Says Joey Had Sociopathic Tendencies"
The politics of religious hypocrisy

Scott and Anabela Janke (Photo: apakistannews.com)
Jobs are scarce these days as the economy remains challenged by restricted credit markets and consumers who either can’t spend more or are afraid to do so. People look to pay day loans and secured loans to get by in the short run, but they need to retain their jobs in order to do that. Let’s not wish joblessness on anybody these days who doesn’t deserve it, OK? Try to get along out there, people.
But what about Fort Myers Beach Town Manager Scott Janke? The Florida resident has lost his job, and it had nothing to do with cutbacks of his performance. It’s because his wife Anabela Mota Janke is a porn star!
Excuse me?
The couple recently appeared on the CBS television program “The Early Show” so that the public at large could be made aware of this travesty. Scott Janke married Anabela Mota (stage name Jazella Moore) in October of 2008, and things have apparently been going well for them ever since. However, that was until the mayor of Fort Myers Beach and the town council found out what Anabela Janke does for a living. They unanimously decided to vote Scott Janke out of office. He was given six months of pay as severance. ... click here to read the rest of the article titled "Man Fired Because Wife Anabela Janke's a Porn Star"
And Michael’s “on fire.” Gee, I wonder what that means…

The reporter, the woman and the Holy Hot Viral (Photo: Wheelsports.wordpress.com)
This concludes today’s article trinity on the Church of the Erin Andrews video peep pictures (aka viral topics I exploit for this blog). But I doubt you’ll find a take like mine on the matter, so you’ve come to the right place! CLICK HERE if you missed the second part; if you missed the BEGINNING, go there!
***
Recently, the old 1984 Pepsi commercial where Michael’s head went up in a blaze of Jerri Curl came back into the news. Michael’s death had everything to do with that, as people close to the situation were looking to lay blame and found the media circus to be a perfect soapbox. Plus they want money. Why don’t they use pay day loans and secured loans instead, I ask you!
But here’s where Belew takes it. He references the Pepsi incident as the time when pain killers became a regular part of Michael’s life and led him down a path of self-destruction. Perhaps it did. But here’s the point of comparison Belew makes: he compares Michael with Jeremiah:
Jeremiah the prophet speaks of having fire in his bones. Jeremiah 20:9 - “But if I say, “I will not mention him or speak any more in his name,” his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot.” ... click here to read the rest of the article titled "Erin Andrews Video Peep Pictures | Trinity! (Pt. 3)"
Erin Andrews Video Peep Pictures Still Burn Retinas
… and hard drives… and your eternal SOOOUUUUUULS!

With the weight of the Internet on her shoulders, Erin Andrews trudges on, hairspray in hand to blind those who would dare peep at her video (Photo: seanbfitzgerald.com)
The Erin Andrews video peep pictures (or is it the Erin Andrews peephole tape?) onslaught continues. Some of you may know it has the NY Post Erin Andrews photos brigade. I’d like to refer you to the words of the Dread Pirate Roberts for a moment on the matter of what’s going to happen to you if you continue to invade this woman’s privacy. He is my authority on all matters of the soul. Imagine the words being spoken in Andre the Giant’s voice and the effect will be complete:
I AM THE DREAD PIRATE ROBERTS. THERE WILL BE NO SURVIVORS. MY MEN ARE HERE, AND I AM HERE, BUT SOON YOU WILL NOT BE HERE — THE DREAD PIRATE ROBERTS TAKES NO SURVIVORS. ALL YOUR WORST NIGHTMARES ARE ABOUT TO COME TRUE. THE DREAD PIRATE ROBERTS IS HERE FOR YOUR SOULS!
Seriously, there are no giant French wrestlers waiting to take you away like a thief in the night. There are no bushes or pillars of flame that will annihilate you for gazing upon Erin Andrews. It simply isn’t going to happen. Furthermore, there is no final authority that’s writing your post-life travel itinerary. Miracle-Gro, perhaps, but that depends upon how much your family enjoys urns or wants to plant tuxedos and lacquered boxes in the ground. Those boxes have cost people lots of payday loans and unsecured loans in the past, so it’s not something that should be taken lightly. If you need a lacquered box but are short of funds, apply here now. Perhaps we can help you. ... click here to read the rest o

Apollo 11 Moon Landing Hoax rumors still circulating
Ever since NASA announced that they had lost the back up tapes from the Apollo 11 moon landing, the conspiracy theorists and peanut gallery has been touting their belief that there is an Apollo 11 Moon Landing Hoax - in that NASA filmed all of it in a studio as a cover up. Of course, the missing tapes prove nothing, but we’ll get to that in a minute. (I’d give some fast cash to makes this and other ill-conceived conspiracies go away.)
The tapes were backups, get over it!
The tapes in question were telemetry tapes, meaning that they were broadcast from the moon with the video signal, audio signal, and the other information being relayed from the command module, and video and audio were transferred to two inch television tape in Parkes, Australia, and broadcast world wide. The missing tapes, in essence, were negatives - back ups - it’s a non-issue, but they are having the original tapes restored. Click Here, for part one of this series.
A Conspiracy of dunces
This is a widely popular subject, and there is an extensive page on Wikipedia about it. Now to the meat of the thing: ... click here to read the rest of the article titled "Apollo 11 Moon Landing Hoax is Not Space Age Thinking Pt.II"
Apollo Moon landing tapes missing - possibly found?

Certainly some among us remember watching the moon landing on July 20th, 1969. It was one of the most watched moments in all of televisions history. Neil Armstrong descended from the Lunar Module and said those famous words, becoming the first human being to walk on the surface of a planetary body other than our own. (Buzz Aldrin became second shortly thereafter, and sowed the seeds of sour grapes in the lunar soil.)
Recently, NASA announced that they had been searching for missing telemetry tapes that were made of the landing for some time, and that there had been no success, no matter how much fast cash they threw into the project. The tapes in question were not the original copies, but backups with possibly better picture quality than the original two inch tape used in TV production at the time.
Throwing in the Towel; Bringing in Hollywood
Instead of giving up all hope, they have decided to take the best surviving footage, and run with it, turning to Lowry Digital, a California based film restoration company. (Click here for the Source.) Lowry expects the project to be completed in September, and NASA will be looking into the possibility of any other tapes left in the tracking center in Parkes, Australia, where the original signal was sent to from the Moon. ... click here to read the rest of the article titled "Apollo Landing Back Up Tapes Lost | NASA Refurbishes Old Tapes"
The People’s Pharmacy is everywhere

Image from peoplespharmacy.com
The People’s Pharmacy has all kinds of great advice for unconventional but useful methods for treating common — and uncommon — maladies. For instance, did you know that Listerine wards off mosquitoes? That some dermatologists say you can get rid of warts with poison ivy?
So what exactly is The People’s Pharmacy? Well, it’s a web site. It’s a radio show. It’s a newspaper column. It’s a blog. It’s a line of books. It’s a podcast. It’s a newsletter. The medium isn’t important because it is every type of media. The important thing is, it’s a collection of “Honest, old-fashioned approaches that work!” and “Affordable alternatives to pricey pills!”

Women’s Conference 2009 all booked up

Maria Shriver organized Women's Conference 2009.
On the web site for Women’s Conference 2009, it says “The Women’s Conference, The Nation’s Premier Forum for Women.” It also has prices for tickets to Women’s Conference 2009, most of which you cannot buy.
Other than that, the information available is slim at the moment because too much traffic has crashed the site. However, there are other sources of information about Women’s Conference 2009 out there, and for your reading convenience I have found them for you.
When is Women’s Conference 2009?
This year the “largest meeting of women in the country,” according to the San Francisco Gate, will take place Oct. 27. The event is scheduled for 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. However, if you want to get tickets for the whole day, you’ll have to start hitting up craigslist and other third-party ticket hawking sites.
Full day tickets are sold out, and this year there’s an additional conference day before the main event, Women’s Conference 2009, which takes place Oct. 26 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. I’d need a cheap payday loan to buy one, but you probably won’t. They cost $75. The event is called A Day of Transformation. I just checked the web site, and that event is now sold out, too. In case you can find a third-party seller, here’s the program for A Day of Transformation:

What is BUM Marketing?

Thank you for visiting personalmoneystore.com. We are going to discuss BUM Marketing for the payday loan and cash advance industries. Have you ever heard of BUM marketing? It’s a marketing strategy for going after long-tail keywords. Keywords are what people type in Google, Yahoo, and Bing to find what they are looking for. Long-tail means they are the longer versions of a commonly searched-for term. These keywords are specially selected because the person who types them in a search engine, like in Google, search have a high commercial intent of applyin
g for a loan.
What’s a long-tail keyword?
For instance, it’s really hard to have an article rank high for the keyword, “payday loans,” because there is too many powerful competing websites. You could have a lot better success if you go after a long-tail like “payday cash advance loans.” Long-tails like this have a much higher chance of ranking for a money-making keyword phrase. This blog is a highly ranked financial blog that Google sees as very relevant to those who use Google for payday loan keyword phrases. It ranks well for many long-tails without much effort. Consistently our articles rank well for all types of industries as well. ... click here to read the rest of the article titled "SEO BUM M
